Velocity Truck Rental & Leasing is on a mission to transform the future of electromobility. Here’s how.

News

Velocity Truck Rental & Leasing (VTRL) was looking for a way to stay ahead of the curve in sustainable freight solutions. By introducing high-powered charging stations, they specifically wanted to cater to commercial medium and heavy-duty electric trucks.

What began years ago as an idea was brought to fruition earlier this year. In collaboration with Trio, VTRL energized 47 charging stations at four of its facilities in Southern California—allowing battery-electric cabover trucks to charge to 80% in 90 minutes or less.

Elana Knopp, Trio’s Content and Communications Manager, recently sat down with David Deon, president of VTRL, to discuss how VTRL worked with Trio to assess the EV market and familiarize themselves with any potential roadblocks, as well as learn how they can help their customers comply with current and upcoming rules and regulations.
