Velocity Truck Rental & Leasing is shifting the electric truck charging space – and making inroads into new territory

News

Sustainable freight solutions received a boost when Velocity Truck Rental & Leasing (VTRL) announced it had energized 47 high-powered charging stations for commercial medium and heavy-duty electric trucks in Southern California.

VTRL has vowed to be environmentally responsible and help their industrial and commercial clients transition into electromobility. One way in which they’re doing this is through flexible charging options, such as their “charging as a service” model. This model allows customers to leave their trucks at VTRL charging stations to charge, all through a monthly subscription.

In this second half of a two-part interview, we continue our discussion with David Deon, president of VTRL,   about the company’s EV charging initiative.

“We are trying to be at the cutting edge of all these different phases of this transition, because that's really what it is. It is a transition to a cleaner environment when it comes to transportation of goods,” said Deon.
